Drawing on experience across the public and private sectors, the consultancy provides advisory services, strategic intelligence, stakeholder connections, local economic development support, interim management and training.
Its approach combines an understanding of the issues at stake, knowledge of key stakeholders, access to relevant expertise and practical support to move projects forward and help bring them to fruition.

Trained as a lawyer, Alain Maurice has built his career at the intersection of law, management, local development and strategy.
After practising public and private business law, and then working as a consultant and trainer in management, change management and communication, he held executive responsibilities within local authorities and national associations of local elected officials.
In these roles, he led and supported local and regional development projects, bringing together elected officials, public administrations, businesses and institutional partners.
In 2014, recruited by economist Jean Pisani-Ferry, he launched the Club de prospective territoriale at France Stratégie, then the General Commission for Strategy and Foresight attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, to examine changes affecting local areas and the evolution of local governance in France.
He subsequently developed his advisory and support activities with business leaders, companies and public institutions.
This experience of businesses, local authorities and decision-making now forms the foundation of Connecting Resilience.

Every business and local authority has its own environment, constraints, stakeholders and culture. Connecting Resilience therefore favours an independent, pragmatic and tailored approach.
A mission may call for a one-off strategic analysis, longer-term support, the mobilisation of a network, direct work with teams or the sharing of methods with elected officials, business leaders and staff.

STRATEGIC ADVISORY, NETWORKING & INTELLIGENCE
Analyse the issues at stake, inform decision-making, identify relevant partners and facilitate connections between public and private stakeholders to help projects move forward.
LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Supporting local authorities in designing and delivering economic development projects, and businesses in establishing or expanding their activities within a local area. Facilitating connections between public and private stakeholders to help bring these projects to fruition.
INTERIM MANAGEMENT
Provide temporary support to a private-sector business or local authority to lead a project, manage a transformation or take on operational responsibilities during a period of transition.
CONFERENCES & TRAINING
Share methods, insights and practical perspectives to strengthen the skills and capacity to act of elected officials, business leaders, executives and teams.
Connecting Resilience is deliberately agile and independent. Depending on the nature of the mission, it works directly with its clients and can mobilise the expertise and networks needed to deliver it.
Its aim is not to add complexity for businesses and local authorities, but to help them better understand their environment, make informed decisions and develop the capabilities needed to put them into practice.
INDEPENDENCE · AGILITY · CONFIDENTIALITY · TAILORED APPROACH
Every mission begins with understanding your situation, your objectives and your environment.
